Ponoka’s Passport to Christmas reporting nearly $1.9M spent locally during holiday season

The count is in for the Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Passport to Christmas campaign that promotes shopping locally.

The count is in for the Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Passport to Christmas campaign that promotes shopping locally.

A total of 6,325 filled out passports were submitted. Of those, 754 were from people from out of town. Those numbers amount to $1,897,500 spent in Ponoka at participating businesses.

The grand Prize winner of a $1,500 shopping spree to up to three participating businesses was Debra McKay.

The 70” TV sponsored by the Brick went to Avegail Pascual.

The $500 in gas from Co Op Oils went to Zachary McClaflin.

All other winners of the merchant sponsored prizes (valued at $25) can collect their prize at the appropriate business.

Chamber news

The chamber is in the process of planning the 2023 trade show, which will be held on April 14 and 15. Registration is now open for those who would like to attend.

Membership renewals are now due and notices have gone out.
