Hobbema RCMP responded to a shots fired complaint in the Samson townsite last Friday afternoon.
RCMP from Wetaskiwin and Ponoka detachment, Wetaskiwin Police Dog Services, Red Deer Emergency Response Team and RCMP Air Services were also deployed.
The Samson townsite was secured as police looked for suspects. A subsequent search of the area did not uncover any weapons.
RCMP have issued a warrant for Justin Donovan Whitebear, 19, of Hobbema. Whitebear faces numerous firearms charges. RCMP believe he is associated with a gang and is considered armed and dangerous. Police advise the public not to approach this subject.
