The members of the Ponoka Fish And Game Association were finally able to have a meeting which was not possible previously due to COVID-19. This July meeting was badly needed so the members and executive could catch up on club business.

Just to remind everyone that you must have a membership by Aug. 25 in order to be eligible for Big Game Club trophies.

The awards, for last seasons winners only, will be held at the Fish and Game Club House on Aug. 28. The winners may bring one other person with them, such as their spouse or a friend. We could not hold our banquet in February as we usually do due to gathering restrictions.

We did hold our regular club meeting in August as things have loosened up now. Still use caution when you attend public gatherings. COVID-19 is still around.

We are holding our Rifleman’s Rodeo from Sept. 3 through 6. People have been asking if we were going to hold the rodeo this year but we had to wait until we were sure that we were going to be able to gather. Come on out.

We will be there this year, so bring your guns and test your skills.

A work bee is being held August 28 and 29 to get the range ready and make sure everything is in working order and running smoothly so everyone can have a good time and enjoy.
