Rimbey RCMP search for pair in attempted theft

Rimbey RCMP are hoping someone will recognize two individuals that failed to steal a vehicle.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on April 3 at a rural property west of Rimbey, an unknown man and woman attempted to make off with a truck parked on the property.

The owner of the property witnessed the pair drive into the yard, but yelled at the suspects before they could get the vehicle started. The pair then fled the scene, but not before the homeowner was able to capture one of the suspects in some photographs.

Police have released the photos in hopes someone may recognize the man shown or the stolen truck the pair fled in.

That stolen truck a 2012 Ford white crew cab F250 4x4 has been identified as one that was taken from Sundre on March 30 and is suspected as one involved in a property crime committed in the Red Deer area sometime between March 30 and April 3.

RCMP have provided a description of the female suspect as caucasian in her 20s with a slight build and light brown hair.
