Diane Rose of Rose Creations offers rentals of everything you would need for a wedding or other events including linens, benches, chairs, tables, backdrops, silk boutineers and bouquets, centre pieces and more.
“We include everything you could possibly want for your wedding day,” said Rose.
She offers a full service, from draping, lighting and decorating events.
“I basically do it all,” said Rose.
Starting out as an event decorating business in the summer of 2018, she has now built a 4,000 square foot building on her and her husband Bill’s property and expanded the business into hosting events. The building was completed in August, 2020.
Rose never thought her business would take off like it has.
“To this day it is still like a dream come true.”
Catering to smaller groups, Rose offers the full package for smaller events such as baby showers, grad parties, memorials or intimate weddings of under 100 people, including the venue, decorating and planning.
“My passion is being an event planner. I love so much being someone’s ‘person’ to make their dreams into reality — taking stress away in any way I possibly can so my clients can have a stress-free day.”
Although she has a facility now for hosting events, she will still travel all over central Alberta to decorate events wherever her clients are.
Even though there has been next to no events held in 2020, Rose has kept busy organizing all her stock in her new facility and planning the 2021 season.
An event may only be a few hours, but Rose is involved in every step of the planning process, which can involve a time frame of several months.
“It’s not just a one-day service,” said Rose.
“Clients don’t know how many endless hours it takes, the small details and the bloopers behind the scenes.”
Although some of her brides eloped, she hasn’t lost any for the upcoming season.
She is booked for 2021 with about 50 weddings alone, plus other events, and is booking into 2022 already.
The brides have kept their dates so far, being optimistic they will be able to have guests attend their special day.
The work goes on, and Rose has 11 casual or part-time staff who are still working, pressing linens and other such tasks, and getting the building showcase ready for potential clients.
Rose is also continuing to build her event planning arsenal, adding to the many courses and programs she has already completed.
She has floral arranging and wedding consultation courses, has her ProServe, food handling and first aid certification and is currently completing a two-year online diploma program in wedding event design.
