Saturday night forecast for Ponoka: Snow and wind

Snowfall and wind forecasts for Ponoka on Saturday night show it’s going to get chilly.

Later this afternoon snow started to fall in Ponoka and a look at the weather forecast shows a temperature of -20 degrees C. Adding to the coldness will be wind gusts of 20 to 24 km/h, which will make it feel like minus 23 to minus 29 degrees C.

According to weather forecasts, light snow and scattered flurries are expected for the rest of the evening with Sunday morning expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures at minus 21 degrees C.

As for road conditions reports at 3:30 p.m. on 511 Alberta showed Highway 2 relatively bare with the side roads such as Highway 12 and Highway 21 being partly snow covered.

Sunday afternoon temperatures are expected to come in at minus 15 degrees C with a slight wind making it feel around minus 20 degrees C.
