With the pandemic limiting social activities, many long-time favourite annual events have been cancelled. While the Ponoka Stampede was postponed this year, Seasons Ponoka was looking for ways to keep the spirit of the tradition alive.

In hopes of bringing the experience of the Stampede to its residents, the team at Seasons created their own Seasons Stampede, a three-day event in lieu of rodeo week from July 20 to 23.

The mini-Stampede event saw residents treated to carnival games and snacks such as delicious homemade donuts, along with an opportunity to interact with friendly farm animals. They also received a special guest visit from Stampede President Bruce Harbin and the Rodeo Queen and Princess.

The team followed COVID-19 protocols and limited the event to residents and staff at Seasons Ponoka.
