Stop by the town’s booth at the Ponoka Trade Show on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 St).
The town is inviting residents to join them for “Coffee with Council” on April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the town booth. At that time, attendees can enjoy a cup of coffee, ask questions, share ideas and chat with members of town council.
Citizens who visit the town booth will also get the chance to:
• Participate in the Police Advisory Committee Questionnaire: Citizens will have the opportunity to chat with members of the Town of Ponoka Police Advisory Committee on April 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. During this time, residents can offer their input and ideas on crime prevention and public safety in Ponoka by filling out a ‘Questionnaire for Community Input.’ For those who are unable to attend, the ‘Questionnaire for Community Input’ can be filled out online at www.LetsTalkPonoka.ca. Paper copies of the survey are also available at the Ponoka town office on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre (200, 5604 50 St.).
• Take a sneak peek at the new dog park design planned for Ponoka: A fly through video will showcase the updated design. Construction is expected to begin on the new dog park later this year pending town council review and approval.
• View the expanded skateboard park design: Citizens will be able to view and provide their feedback on the updated design. Based on input that was received from the public in 2022, the Town of Ponoka has updated the original conceptual design for the expanded skateboard park and is inviting more feedback.
• Learn more about the Municipal Development Plan (MDP): Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the MDP, as well as provide their input on what they want the Town of Ponoka to look like in the future.
• Enter to win a family recreation pass and a Town of Ponoka swag gift basket: Fill out a ballot at the town’s trade show booth and be entered to win.
The town encourages the public to stop by their booth any time during the Ponoka Trade Show, which is open Friday, April 14 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
