Temporary road closures will take place in Ponoka into next week as the town completes paving improvements.
The town advises road closures are expected on on 52 Ave. (between 50 St. and 51 St.) and at 62 St. and 52 Ave. as crews prepare to begin paving work at both of these locations (weather pending).
Pedestrians and motorists are asked to avoid these locations if possible.
Work is also expected to occur at the following locations over the next two weeks.
These roadways are expected to remain open while the work is completed:
- 38 St. near 46 Ave.
- 39A Ave. (between 40 St. and 41 St.)
- 61 Ave. (between 54 St. and 55 St.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution and observe road signs and traffic safety personnel in construction zones.
