There will be temporary road closures for the Graduates of Ponoka Parade on Thursday, June 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. along the following streets:
– 55 Street (from 45 Avenue to 48 Avenue);
– 48 Avenue (from 55 Street to 51 Street);
– 51 Street (from 48 Avenue to 57 Avenue);
– 57 Avenue (from 51 Street to 50 Street);
– 50 Street (from 57 Avenue to 46 Avenue);
– 46 Avenue (from 50 Street to 54 Street); and
– 54 Street (from 46 Avenue to 45 Avenue).
The parade will start at St. Augustine School (5520 45 Ave. Crescent) and will follow the traditional Ponoka Stampede Parade route.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution in these areas.
“The road closures will help ensure our local graduates and their families can safely celebrate this important milestone in their lives,” stated a press release.
