The Town of Ponoka is inviting citizens to come and celebrate the reopening and completion of the redevelopment of 51st Avenue this Friday, Sept. 22, weather permitting.
The event runs from 4 to 10 p.m. along 51 Ave. (between 50 St. and 51 St.) and in the parking lot (on the south side of 51 Ave).
Citizens are welcome to come and enjoy tastes of local cuisine, a ribbon cutting and reopening of 51st Ave. celebration at 5 p.m. and live music throughout the evening featuring a local country/rock band, ‘the Educators.’
Admission to the event is free.
Tasting tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at the Ponoka Arena with cash, credit card or debit. Tasting tickets will also be available for purchase at the event.
