The Town of Ponoka has experienced a digital breach of its network by an unauthorized third party. The Town acted immediately to contain the breach, has reported this crime to the RCMP, and is working with cybersecurity experts to address the matter, according to a release.
The Town takes the privacy and security of its database very seriously.
A forensic investigation is currently being conducted to determine what if any, personal data was impacted as a result of this incident.
Once the forensic investigation is complete, any impacted individuals will be notified immediately.
