Two escape from Hobbema

On Sept. 6, during the 10:30 p.m. head count, staff at Pe Sakastew Centre at Hobbema discovered Simon Cardinal and Cody McIntosh were not accounted for. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted Red Deer RCMP and warrants for their arrest were issued.

Simon Erwin Cardinal is 20 years old, is 185 cm (6’1”) tall and weighs 100 kg (221 lbs.). He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his left hand.

He is currently serving a sentence of four years, two months, eight days.

Cody Joseph McIntosh is 29 years old, is 180 cm (5’11”) tall and weighs 100 kg (221 lbs.). He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his left arm, upper back, and right forearm.

He is currently serving a sentence of three years.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Simon Cardinal or Cody McIntosh is asked to contact local police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offenders as quickly as possible.
