The Ponoka News is pleased to announce the return of Ponoka’s Best of Ponoka Readers’ Choice Awards!
Here is your chance to show your support for the outstanding services and businesses that make Ponoka a terrific place to live and to show your support for our wonderful local businesses, eateries, organizations and services.
When you submit a business or service for a category, you will be entered to win a $300 Hammy’s gift card. Vote daily to show support for your favourite business or vendor!
Voting will commence on August 25, 2022 and a special section on October 26, 2022 will feature the category winners for the Best of Ponoka Readers’ Choice Awards 2022.
There are plenty of categories to vote for including Best Burger, Best Lunch Spot, Best Eye Care Clinic, Best Local Artisan and Best Customer Service among many others.
“We are really excited about the return of our Best of Ponoka section,” says Christina Komives, Regional Publisher of the Ponoka News. “The Best of Ponoka contest invites readers of our paper and website to acknowledge and honour the businesses, amenities and people that make Ponoka such a great place to live and work. Area residents are proud of our community and the section that results from this contest highlights that pride.”
Other categories in contention range from Best Speciality Store, Best Auto Sales Person, Best Massage, Favourite Kids Park and Favourite Place to Walk/Jog. The closing date for voting is September 22, 2022.
“This is a great opportunity to support our local businesses. Our community is defined by our small businesses,” says Komives. “I hope the results of this contest also give readers information about some of the unique things our great businesses have to offer. Hopefully it will encourage people to shop at a business that they may not have known much about previously and showcase the great selection of products and services Ponoka has to offer.”
