Wallets and cash stolen from vehicles in Ponoka

Ponoka RCMP responded to complaints of theft from vehicles and an attempted break and enter file.

On March 11 during the daytime hours, the Ponoka RCMP responded to two complaints of theft from motor vehicles on 56 and 60 Avenue.

Unknown suspects entered the vehicles and stole wallets containing cash and identification cards. The Ponoka RCMP are advising the public not to leave valuables inside their vehicles and to keep their vehicles locked.

Break and enter

On March 12 at approximately 11:00 p.m. the Ponoka RCMP responded to an attempted break and enter at Stampede Pawn.

Three suspects wearing hoodies and masks walked around to the back of the building. One of the suspects had a backpack with two reflective stripes on the back.

The men gained entry to the business and shut off the power but nothing was taken. The file is under investigation.
