The North Saskatchewan River Water Walkers are currently walking from Rimbey to Ponoka on Highway 53 and will be carrying on to Wetaskiwin on Highway 2A on Thursday, July 22.

They have been walking from the Canadian Rocky Mountains, through Rocky Mountain house to spread awareness of the importance of the cultural connection to water.

The group is advising that they have elders and children walking along with the group and are asking motorists to drive with caution when passing them.

Later this week they will continue on to Edmonton.
