UPDATE: Repairs to watermain at Ponoka Arena Complex complete

Temporary, partial lane closure as work is completed

UPDATE:

Repairs to the watermain on 54 Street (just south of Highway 53) were completed last night and the Ponoka Arena Complex returns to regular business hours today, beginning with public skating at 11:30 a.m.

The temporary, partial lane closure on 54 Street will remain in place until crews have finished cleaning up the site. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to please exercise caution around work crews and avoid the area if possible. If you have questions, please call 403-783-4431.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Crews are currently repairing a watermain break on on 54 Street in front of the Ponoka Arena Complex.

There is a temporary, partial lane closure in place as the work is underway. The closure will remain in place until the work is completed.

The arena and parking lot are also temporarily closed as crews repair the water line.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to please exercise caution around work crews and avoid the area if
