The Wetaskiwin RCMP is asking for public assistance in locating a missing teenage girl.

Ava Yellowbird, 15, of Wetaskiwin was last seen on May 18.

The RCMP has received information that Yellowbird may be, or have been, in the area of 77 Street North West Edmonton.

To date, RCMP attempts to locate Yellowbird have been unsuccessful.

Yellowbird is described as having a medium complexion, is 5-foot, 6 inches tall, and weighs around 150 lbs. She has black medium-length hair and brown hair.

Yellowbird was last seen wearing black leggings, a blue zipper sweater and white sneakers. She had a pink backpack with her.
