Hobbema RCMP are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman on the Samson reserve early Monday morning.
RCMP responded at 2:55 a.m. to a complaint of shots fired to find an injured woman. She was transported to the Wetaskiwin hospital where she died.
An autopsy has been ordered.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
RCMP are investigating but have no motive or suspect.
