A young man has been charged with second degree murder following a shooting in Hobbema on Oct. 4. There were seven other people who were also charged related to the murder of 20 year old Brian Randall Littlechild, a member of the Ermineskin First Nation.

The glow of hundreds of candles reflected off of veterans’ gravestones on the evening of Oct. 9. The Ponoka Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion had its first candlelight tribute ceremony to celebrate the efforts of all veterans who fought for freedom.
