In loving memory ~
Born in Montreal, Ann moved to Alberta in 1952 settling in Ponoka for 30+ years. She owned & ran the Greyhound Bus Depot for most of the'70's &'80's, meeting many life-long friends. Ann spent years & countless hours with the Woman of the Moose. She loved giving back to her community by organizing banquets, running bingos & charity events with Dad (King) by her side.
Summers from 1988-2018 were spent at Carefree Resort on Glennifer Lake making precious memories with her growing family & friends, potluck dinners & camp res. She was famously known as Gramma Grouch to her grandchildren & great grandchildren, each with fond memories of this wonderful woman. Ann was always focused on providing for her family. Her 91 years left an indelible memory of her firecracker spirit, with her sense of humor front and center, a gift she passed on to her eight children.
Predeceased by her husband Nellis Mackay, daughter Cindy, son Al, & grandson Shawn; Ann is survived by her children Linda Barrett (Bob), George Croft (Lynn), Rose Flinkman (Ken), Darlene Croft, Sherrill Fix, Rhonda Hickman (Murray); 17 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren.
