With deep sadness we announce the passing on Monday, February 14, 2022, of our dear mother, grandma, great grandma, mother-in-law, sister, auntie, and friend at Ponoka, AB at the age of 92 years.
Mom was born on her parent's farm at Hubbard, Saskatchewan on July 26, 1929, the seventh of 10 children, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Konarski. As a child she shared her home with five sisters and four brothers.
Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Ralph in 1997, her father in 1959, and her mother in 1997.
Anne is survived by her daughter Valerie and her husband Keith Bancroft, and grandsons: Morgan, and his wife Jennessa, and great grandchildren Lincoln, Sterling, and Roman of Spruce Grove, AB; Adam and great grandsons Rylan and Lucas of Stony Plain, Alberta.
Anne is also survived by her daughter Marilyn and her husband Bernard Burke and grandsons: Troy and his wife Jamie, and great grandsons Ethen and Bryce of Lacombe, Alberta; Kevin and his wife Katie, and great grandchildren Naomi and Ellie of Hamilton, Ontario.; Vincent and his wife Melissa, and great granddaughters Sara, Kenadie, and Audrey, and great grandson Connor of Ponoka, Alberta.
Anne is also survived by her cherished extended family, Dorothy, Cindy, Lisa, Jesse and Brooklyn Jaeger of Calgary and Marie Browarny, Allan, and Sophie also of Calgary.
Mom was devoted to family, ensuring that the people she loved always knew how special they were. As a dedicated teacher, she strived to bring the best out in her students.
We honour her life and deeply mourn her passing.
A Prayer Vigil was held on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7 pm at Ponoka Funeral Home. The Prayer Service was recorded and is available on Anne's obituary page (womboldfuneralhomes.com).
The Funeral Mass for Anne was celebrated on Thursday, February 24th at 1 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Parish, Ponoka and the Interment Service was held on Friday, February 25th at 1 pm at St. Rita's Catholic Cemetery in Rockyford, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tribute donations can be made to Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, or the charity of the donor's choice.
