Antoinette “Toni” Lyster passed away suddenly on August 11, 2008 at the age of 52 years. Toni was born August 14, 1955 and was the oldest child of Harry and Marie Walton. She is survived by her four children: Deanna (Will), Brian (Tammy), Amber and Ebony; as well as by her eleven grandchildren. Toni will also be missed by her step-sons and their families: Wyatt (Tammy), Boyd (Tara) and Troy and special sons Ryan and Stu and their children. Toni will be lovingly remembered by her step-mother and friend, Sheila Walton; her brothers Brian, Richard and Nigel; and sisters Susan (Wes), Kathy (Scott), Debbie (David), Yvonne (Dale) and Jacqui (Sandy). She has numerous well-loved nieces and nephews. Toni will be sadly missed by her best friends Marie Bauer and Karen Schmidt. Other extra-special friends include Kathy Ogilvie, Robbyn Carlson, Bev Bragg and Liz. Toni has lived a very full and eventful life. She was known for her wit, incredible sense of humor and passion for bingo. Many experienced Toni’s kindness, warmth and generosity and will be deeply affected by her loss. Toni was predeceased by both of her parents; her brother Tom; her very special brothers-in-law Gord “Nick” Nicholson and Ritchie Wallace; as well as very special friends Gus and Ada Lukat and Robert Schwartz. A Memorial Service to celebrate Toni’s life was held on Monday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home.
