Schultz, Audrey Joan (nee Lees)

August 28, 1918 - January 4, 2011


Audrey Joan Schultz passed away peacefully in Edmonton at the age of 92 years. Audrey was born in Bramshot, England and came to Canada with her parents, Thomas Axon and Gladys Mary Lees, as a young child. She spent much of her life in Edmonton and some time in Bashaw, where she met her husband Ernie. Audrey’s father was an officer in the Alberta Provincial Police in Bashaw at the time. Audrey leaves: daughter Sharon Vant (Tom) of Millet and their four children - Ted, Lisa, Tim and Libby; son Jack (Susan) of West Kelowna, BC and their two children - Travis and Julie; daughter Joan Sydness (Tom) of Edmonton and their two children - Sarah and Kris; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie and her dear brother Tom Lees. Audrey’s family was of utmost importance to her. She was always loving and thoughtful and had a deep personal faith. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Ponoka Funeral Home, 5115-50th Avenue with Pastor Larry Soveran officiating. The Interment Service will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, c/o R.R. 1 Tees, AB T0C 2N0.
