Betty Allen

Betty Ilene Allen passed away peacefully on March 4, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Her Funeral Service was held in Red Deer on March 14, 2012. Betty is survived by her daughter Carol (Vern) Hemeyer of Ponoka, granddaughter Krista Simanton and great-grandchildren Tyson, Shelby, Jacob and Luke Simanton, grandson Ethan (Heidi) Hemeyer and great-grandchildren Michaela, Brooklyn, Jesse and Mackenzie Hemeyer; her son Bill (Patti) Allen of Springfield, Oregon, granddaughter Lisa (Scott) and two great-grandsons; grandson Cameron Allen and two great-grandsons Dean and Craig Allen; grandson Mackenzie Allen; her son Tom (Donna) Allen of Calgary, granddaughter Tara (Kevin) Pattison and great-granddaughters Bryne and Halli Pattison; grandson Brad (Laura) Allen; grandson Bryan (Whitney) Allen; her son Doug Allen Jr. of Edmonton, granddaughter Samantha (Scott) Hamilton and great-granddaughter Emily and great-grandsons Nicholas and Alexander Hamilton; her daughter Beth (Ted) Matzner of Abbotsford, BC, grandson Jason (Sarah) Law and great-grandchildren Brandon, Jade and Gage Law and granddaughter Connie Law; sister Thelma Sadleir, brothers Logie Allen and Fred Foster all of Sarnia, ON. Betty and Doug were the chosen parents of daughter Laura (Ian) Endersby of Abbotsford, BC, and grandparents of granddaughters Marlo (Kevin) Small, Michelle (Blair) Symonds, Mallory and Meggie. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Douglas Allen Sr., eight siblings and her grandson-in-law Dave Simanton.
