Bill Neis passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Centennial Centre in Ponoka, AB. Bill was born on December 6, 1935, the oldest son of Henry and Barbara Neis at the Lacombe Hospital.After attending Olds School of Agriculture, he spent his life farming in the Hickling District near Mirror.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years Marlene, sons Hal (Tammy), Lyle (Sandra) and Brent. Also missed by four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, his brother Jack (Josie), sister-in-law Jeanne Neis, sister-in-law Faye (Burt) Gilbert and brother-in-law Ed (Ann) Knechtel.
Bill was predeceased by his parents and brother Doug and sister-in-law Linda Neis.The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Centennial for the excellent care that Bill received and for the compassion shown at the time of his passing.
A Funeral Service was held at the Mirror Community Hall on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
