Bill Tucker
William James Tucker was born on January 18, 1921in Shaftesbury, England to parents William and Mary and passed away on December 7, 2010 in Ponoka at the age of 89 years. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Lydia; his children Douglas (Helen), Donna (George) Turney, Darlene (Brian) Cline, Linda Lozinski, Joy (Lyle) Wiancko; his grandchildren Laura (Garret), Shawn (Carrie), Craig,Leeann (Doug), Brent (Amanda), Nicole (Chris),Lana (Dean) , Sarah (Rob), and Robert; his great-grandchildren Jorden, Caitlyn, Cole, Chase, Max, Mason, Morgan, Addison, Tyson and Lincoln; his brother Leonard (Mary), as well as numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents William and Mary, his son Robert, his grandson Blake Wiancko, his brothers Ted and Danny and his sister Katherine “Dolly” Betts. A Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home with Reverend Len Eichler officiating. Donations in Bill’s memory are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S.
