Brent was born in Taber on December 20, 1955 to Roy and Ruth Renner. He was raised along with his five siblings on an active farm, milking cows. While growing up, Brent helped his dad with janitorial work at a local school. Leaving school during grade ten to work at local businesses in Taber, Brent would later pursue the rodeo circuit, riding saddle bronc and outriding for well known chuckwagon drivers.
In Brent's early twenties, he bought his first semi truck and started his trucking career which would become a lifelong path of forty plus years. From International to Mack, driver to manager/owner he wore many hats.
Brent married his first wife Elizabeth Fehr in 1977 and they had three daughters. In 1995 he would gain a step daughter with his second marriage to his present wife Donna.
People close to Brent know he was always on the go, following his love of trucking between Alberta and Saskatchewan with Donna by his side. In 2010, he was diagnosed with COPD but that never slowed him down, even vacationing with his wife Donna on cruises and to Mexico and Hawaii.
Brent took his last highway trip up to Prince George, British Columbia to start up another trucking venture with his best friend Danny. On this trip Brent fell ill and sadly passed away peacefully with Donna by his side. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
