In Loving Memory ~
Brian Borle passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Ponoka General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was 66.
Brian was born in Edmonton, AB to Omer and Kay Borle. He was the eldest in the family, followed by brothers Keith & Doug and sister Karen. Brian graduated from Lacombe High School in 1976. He married his high school sweetheart, Janice (Cameron) and they were married for 46 years.
Brian worked in the newspaper industry for many years. He started as an advertising salesman at the Lacombe Globe in 1981 and later moved to Victoria, BC to advance his career as a salesman for the Gold Stream Gazette.
In 1990, the family moved again and Brian became a publisher of 3 weekly newspapers in Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake and Fort St. James BC. His final newspaper achievement was owning and operating the Ponoka News & Advertiser.
Brian loved spending his time golfing, puttering around his backyard and enjoying time with his family and friends. His grandchildren brought a smile to his face and he was always the first to greet them at the door and give each of them a big hug.
