Cameron Mannix Clandfield, born December 18, 1938 in Viking, Alberta passed away peacefully from a brief battle with cancer with his children by his side on March 6, 2020.
Cam attended grade school in Lethbridge, Coaldale and Edmonton and graduated high school in Calgary. He then joined the military reserves where he became a lieutenant. After his time in the military he attended the University of Alberta where he received his BSc. degree in Pharmacy in 1960.
Soon after, he moved to Hardisty to work at the local drug store and there he met and married Lynda Wilder (now Beach). They moved to Vermilion where they started their family and then to Ponoka.
He later moved to Calgary in 1975 after their marriage dissolved and worked in Coaldale and Calgary. After his mother passed in 1990 he returned to Ponoka to be closer to his kids and spent his last days at Northcott Care Centre.
Cam is survived by his children Stacey (Mark) Jones, Chris Clandfield, and Lesley (Steve) Rausch; grandchildren Evan (Candice) Jones, Heather (Landon) Friesen, Kirsten (Jason) Hoeve and Kyle, Joel, Hailey and Zachary Rausch. Great grandchildren Annalise, Jarren, Cedar and Aspen.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
