It is with great sadness that the family and extended family announce the passing of our beloved sister-in-law and aunt, Clara Crandall.
Clara was born in Kansas City Missouri. She married Hugh Crandall when she was 15. After his service in the United States army, they moved to the Ferrybank area and farmed from 1950 to 1956. She was the daughter-in-law to Marcus and Ida Crandall.
Hugh and Clara moved to Lynden, Washington where they lived with their three children, Richard, Donna and Darrell. They lived there for a year before moving to Modesto, California. Hugh became a driver for Greyhound . They lived in various places in California and Nevada and settled in Grants Pass, Oregon where they lived at the time of her passing.
Clara had many crafting hobbies and became an expert in doll making. Her dolls went all over including Japan and England. She taught doll making until she couldn't lift the molds. Many nieces, nephews and grandchildren were gifted with a doll. She continued to knit and crochet until the day she died.
She had a great love of all animals. Her home always had several pets.
She was a devout Christian woman and was a member of the River Valley Community Church.
She was predeceased by her son Darrell. She leaves to mourn her husband of 72 years, Hugh Crandall. her son Richard and his family, her daughter Donna and her family and many grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and siblings.
