On February 10, 2011 Dave Simanton of Ponoka passed away at the age of 46 years. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Krista; his children Tyson, Shelby, Jake and Luke; his parents Bob and Edie Simanton; his sister Brenda and her daughter Carly; his grandmas Hazel Simanton and Betty Allen; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Vern and Carol Hemeyer; his brother-in-law Ethan & his wife Heidi and their children Michaela, Brooklyn, Jesse and Mackenzie; Krista’s grandpa Wilf Hemeyer; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at the Stagecoach Saloon (Ponoka Stampede Grounds) at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 with the Interment Service following at Forest Home Cemetery. An Trust Fund has been set up at the Ponoka branch of CIBC and Servus Credit Union. Donations are requested in lieu of flowers and can be made at any branch of CIBC (to be forwarded to the Ponoka Branch for deposit) or at any location of Servus Credit Union.
