David Fletcher Kane
David was born on October 18, 1936 in Ponoka to parents Anna and Fletcher Kane and passed away on January 13, 2010 in Ponoka at the age of 73 years. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne; his children Mike (Shawn), Kevin and JoLynn; his grandson Jesse; mother-in-law Anne Newman; sister Ethel Schickerowsky (Dennis); brother Robert (Edith); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Anna & Johnston Kane; sisters Verna Kane and Eileen Moltzahn; father-in-law Otto Newman; brothers-in-law Julius Moltzahn and John Newman; and niece Colleen Provost. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend David Schumacher presiding. Interment followed at the Forest Home Cemetery. Donations in David’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society or any charity of your choice.
