Debbie Hughes
On November 17, 2011 Debra "Debbie" Lynn Hughes of Ponoka passed away at the age of 59 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband John Hughes; son Graham Young and grandchildren Katarina and Shane; son Chad (Tanya) Hughes; daughter Tara Hughes; brother Dennis Gillard, nephew Brent (Sonya) and niece Kyla; brother-in-law Derwyn (Nancy) Hughes; sister-in-law Ann Belluz; family friend Elmer Bridge; and many other relatives and friends. Debbie was predeceased by her father Lloyd Gillard in 1986 and her mother Beth Gillard in 2010. Debbie's life will be celebrated on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Kinsmen Community Centre in Ponoka. The Centre will be open for visiting and refreshments at noon and a Celebration of Debbie's Life will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.
