1927 - 2010
On July 3, 2010 Donald Allison Stretch passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Northcott Care Centre at the age of 83 years. Donald will be loving remembered by his daughter Florence “Gail” (Jim) Bunz of Muenster, Saskatchewan and his grandchildren Micheal of Muenster, Saskatchewan and Penny (Stuart) and his great granddaughter Lola of Australia; his son Wayne (Doreen) of Calgary and grandson Norman (Heather) and his great grandchildren Justin and Sydney of Langdon, Alberta; his daughter Heather (Keith) Loucks and grandchildren Jeffrey, Eric and Travis of Leduc, Alberta; and daughter-in-law Susan (Allan) Kynaston of Australia;as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel and son Leonard, his parents Sarah (Nellie) and Jewel Stretch, as well as other extended family members Florence Stretch, Harold and Bernice Stretch. Marlene Stretch, Robert (Gary) Stretch, Ivan Lewis and John Zobell. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Doreen Scott officiating. Interment will take place at the Forest Home Cemetery at 10:15 before the service. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society or the Parkinson’s Society.
