Duncan Grant

" One Day At A Time"

Duncan was born July 28, 1920 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan and passed away October 25, 2011. He settled in Ponoka in order to play hockey with the Ponoka Stampeders. He led a full and active life, traveling, skiing, playing ball, as well as playing and coaching local hockey. He thoroughly enjoyed serving a term on town council. Dunc was a member of the Ponoka Stampede Association, managing the grandstand ticket sales for many years. In 1953 he joined the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. To his surprise and delight he met many old friends and acquaintances at A.A. meetings. He continued to be an avid supporter of the fellowship for the remainder of his life. Dunc will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Joan, sons Duncan(Debby), and Robbie, his grandchildren Caley, Zana, Jessica and Natasha and great grandson, Liam. In memory of Dunc, family and friends are invited to gather at the Ponoka Legion Hall November 4 at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka and District Health Foundation at the Ponoka General Hospital.
