James "Jim" Allen Durand was born in Camrose, Alberta to Henry Joseph Durand and Anna Olesa Durand. He was one of a family of nineteen. Jim worked in infrastructure with the Government of Alberta for a large part of his life. Jim's passions were his family, travel, and old movies. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and spent a great deal of his time helping them with things around the house and mechanical work. He always provided a welcoming home for friends and family that dropped in.
Jim was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Danny, and Gene; step-brother, Robert and his step-sister, Louise. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda; his children, Angie, Mike (Milena), Jamie (Klayton), and Brittany (Matt); his grandchildren; nine sisters; nine brothers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended relatives. Jim was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Due to Covid 19 a private family ceremony will be held.
