It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Edna Irene Whamond at the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka, Alberta on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 97 years. Edna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Whamond, Randy (Marj) Whamond, Wendy (Len) Antherien and Diana (Neal) Buist; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by extended family and friends. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Archibald 'Archie' Whamond; her brothers, Henry, Howard and Ford Scott and a sister, Edith Enge. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Northcott Care Centre and Dr. Du Toit, for the wonderful care she received while there. A Celebration of Edna's Life will be held in the spring. Details will be posted at a later date.
