Cowboy Ed is back in the saddle again, riding across that prairie in the sky with his beloved wife Mary, sisters Maggie and Blondie, and brothers Lewis, Herman, and Johannes by his side.
His joyful smile and fun-loving spirit lives on with his children Colleen (Randy) Lomas and Michael (Robyn) Abt, grandchildren Kaitlin and Carmen, Brodie, Tori, Kate, and Mallory, and great-granddaughter Luna. Ed's kindness, generosity, and dedication to his community were central to his life and legacy.
Treasured friends and family can view the Ponoka Funeral Home Memorial Service via live-stream broadcast (viewer located at the bottom of Ed's obituary page at www.womboldfuneralhomes.com) on Saturday, February 27th.
The Memorial Service begins at 1 pm with a Horse Drawn Hearse led procession to Forest Home Cemetery leaving the Ponoka Funeral Home at 2 pm. Anyone who wishes to join the procession to the cemetery is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's name are accepted for the St. Augustine Catholic Church Building Fund, the Ponoka Ag Society, or the Ponoka Stampede Youth Association.
