Edward was born on May 15, 1939, in Hafford, Saskatchewan, and entered into rest on February 25, 2024, in Ponoka Alberta at the age of 84 years. Edward will be sadly missed by his loving and caring longtime companion Sylvia Cire; his three daughters Angela (Garnet) Lewis and their son Blake (Karoline), Janice McLellan and her children Kirk (Tammy) and their children Myles, Danielle, and Tanner; Conner, Quinn (Leslie) and Morgan (Zach) Dionne; Christine (Peter) Hall and their children Garrett, Justin (Kellie) and Cassandra. He is also survived by Sylvia's children Brian, Darlene (Geoff) Brownie and their family, Larry (Crystal) Jordan, and Tyler; Ed's brothers Elmer (Lois) and David (Erica); his sisters Betty Jewer, Terry Sigurdur, and numerous nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law Sheila Wilkie; brother-in-law Al Heine; and extended family; Sylvia's sister Val (Gerald Poffenroth, sister-in-law Nancy Dunn, and their families). He was predeceased by the mother of his children Vivian Dancer; parents Reinhold and Martha Wilkie; siblings Freida Heine, Ruth (Roy) Chura, and George Wilkie; as well as his brother-in-law Dieter.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Ponoka Funeral Home.
