(Ella) Pearl James, nee Raycraft, was born September 4, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. She came to Alberta as a young girl and her family settled west of Ponoka. There she met a life long friend Betty Matejka while attending Fertile Forest School. Pearl graduated high school from The Brick school where she again made lifelong friends.
Pearl married Rodney James and together they raised 3 children. She is survived by her son Bob (Heather), Lorna Richmond (Cathy), Ann Arkes (Ron), 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Pearl was pre-deceased by her parents Edwin and Amelia Raycraft, brothers Bobby, Reg and Bill, and her grandson Randy.
Pearl had an interest and talent in all crafts including but not limited to painting, card making and quilting for the homeless. She spent many years in Airdrie and in the last 2 years had moved back to Ponoka.
She will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
