On August 2, 2008, Ernest Fillinger of Bashaw, Alberta passed away at the age of 59 years. Ernest is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Shirley; sons Dwight (Jaime), Dennis (Sheila), and Derrick; daughter Angela (Duane); three grandchildren: Logan, Phoenix and Avery; his sisters: Gladys, Laura Ilene, Sheila and Christine; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Louis, brother Arnold and sister Liz. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life Gathering was held at the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Jim Corrigan presiding. Interment followed in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Kidney Foundation.
