Etta Ruth Sweet was born on April 24, 1932 in Ponoka, Alberta to parents Cora and Osmond Barnes and passed away on July 25, 2018 in Ponoka at the age of 86 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Marion (Lloyd) Snider, Bill Sweet, Gord (Judy) Sweet, Donna (Keith) Johnson and Marj Smith; eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Etta was predeceased by her husband Max, her son-in-law Kevin Smith and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Sweet.
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home with Pastor Robin King officiating. The Interment Service followed at the Forest Home Cemetery, Ponoka.
