Eugene "Gene" Alan Cline, a long time resident of Valleyview, Alberta, passed away on January 27, 2018 near Simonette River at the age of 60 years.
He was born on July 25, 1957 in Ponoka, Alberta.
Gene spent many years as a Plant and Field Operator for the Oil and Gas Industry. He was very committed to all the things he loved; his family, his work and his many friends.
Gene's interests included being a fisherman, a hunter, an artist, a builder and a farmer. He was also a loyal fan of the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampeders.
Gene is remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Melody; his sons Michael Cline and Ryan Cline; his mother Anna Cline; his brother Terry (Marie) Cline; his sisters Cindy (Neal) Jehn and Sherlee (Kevin) Knox; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home in Ponoka, Alberta.
