Mr. George A. Allison passed away in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the age of 81 years.

George was born at Rimbey, Alberta on May 23, 1937. He was predeceased by his parents Pete and Lodi Allison, his brothers-in-law Frank Frey and Joe Prefontaine, and his nephew James Prefontaine.

George is survived by his loving wife, Margo; his sister Carrie Frey of Airdrie and her family: Shirley Fleck (Harold) and their 2 children and grandson; Joe Frey and his 2 children; Rick Frey (Sandra) and their daughter; Sandra Dubbin (Dave) and their 2 sons and grandson; Don Frey (Jocelyn) and their two daughters.

George is also survived by his sister Gertrude Prefontaine of Red Deer and her family: Ed Prefontaine; Pat Prefontaine (Andrea) and their 3 children; Carolyn Dixon (Bob) and their 3 children and 5 grandchildren; Dave Prefontaine (Paige Thompson) and their two children; Faye Craven and her two daughters.

George is also survived by Margo's family: her parents Merv and Anne Evans; Ken Evans (Karen) and their children Kyra and Kaden Evans; Kathy Hosler (Doug) and their sons Tyler and Wyatt Hosler; Will Evans (Lauren Madson) and their daughter Sinead Evans; Alison Peoples (Dion) and their sons Dallas, Evan, and Connor Peoples.

A celebration of George's life will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Stagecoach Saloon, located at the Ponoka Stampede grounds. A family Interment took place at the Dakota Community Cemetery.
