Gwladys Krossa

Gwladys Mae (Pugh) Krossa born August 18, 1931 in Ponoka, passed away on July 9, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Gwladys will be lovingly remembered by her son Ken (Marjorie) Krossa; grandchildren Lexi Krossa (Trenton), Kendall (Rory) Marcoux, Cadance Krossa (Lucas), Skylar Krossa, Halli Krossa (Craig); as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Betty Bonnett, Margaret Ravnsborg, Glyn (Gail) Pugh, Joe (Jean) Pugh; brothers-in-law John Kocyba, Albert (Diane) Krossa and Fred (Eileen) Krossa; and sisters-in-law Anne Krossa, Margaret Brunner, and Marie Liner. Gwladys was predeceased by her husband Paul; son Edward; parents George and Margaret Pugh; stepmother Amy; parents-in-law Adolph and Hilda Krossa; sisters Georgina Kocyba and Mary Mackie; brothers-in-law Henry Krossa, Paul Christensen, Chuck Perry, Roger Ezard, Melvin Bonnett, Bob Ravnsborg, and John Brunner; and sisters-in-law Martha Hill, Alma Christensen, Ida Perry, and Emma Ezard.
Gwladys enjoyed baking, gardening, working on her flowers, reading Westerns, solving puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was very involved with the WDACS (Wetaskiwin & District Association for Community Services) and Horizons Centre and would happily host BBQ's for Edward's group home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 2 pm at the Ponoka Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Wetaskiwin & District Association for Community Services or Horizons Center, Wetaskiwin.
