Gwyneth "Gwen" Roberts (Avison)
On July 12, 2011 Mrs. Gwen Roberts (Avison) passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 90 years. Gwen is survived by her daughter Bonnie Waldern and her husband Ken; grandson Kevin (Jody) Waldern & Jody’s daughter Ashley; granddaughter Crystal Waldern; granddaughters Sheila (Jonny) Leder and Angela Avison and their mother Donna McLaren; daughter-in-law Marion Avison (Stan); two great-grandsons Dawson Avison and Coy Leder; extended family Marv Roberts of Calgary and Gail Roberts of Burnaby; Marvin’s two children Jeff and his two sons Hunter & Everett Roberts and Sarah (Jason) Manning; her sister Ethel Gardner; a very close niece Eleanor (Don) Tangjerd; plus several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Richard Llewelyn & Ann Reese; first husband Richard “Dick” Avison; second husband Earl Roberts; son Gordon Avison; grandchildren Brenda & Kevin Anderson Avison; two sisters Margaret (Clifford) Wright and Annie (Hughie) Roberts; brother Gwilym “Sonny” Reese; sisters and brothers-in-law John Gardner, Arthur (Ethel) Avison, Clayton (Lila) Avison, Lottie (Russell) Lyons and Clifford & Clarence Avison. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity of your choice.
