Harold Lamey passed away peacefully on January 6, 2023 with his family by his side. He was 94.
Harold was born in New Waterford, Glace Bay, CBNS on April 19, 1928. Raised by his maternal grandmother - he had a great work ethic, a wonderful sense of humour, and a love and respect for all who crossed his path in life - man or beast.
He came to Ponoka in 1953 from P.E.I., met the love of his life and married in 1956. Harold worked various jobs. He retired from the Ponoka General Hospital as a maintenance man in 1984.
Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved meeting new people and became instant friends with many. Harold loved the outdoors, camping, and travelling with friends, enjoying new scenery.
Always friendly, smiling, and willing to help anyone in need.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Fran; his two sons David (Ronda) and Darcy (Debbie); and his grandchildren Ashley, Justin, and Brianne.
There will not be a service as per Harold's request.
