Harriet “Hattie” Emma Jones passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 23, 2008 at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Center. Hattie was born to Flora and Hugh H. Jones on February 13, 1915. She lived in Lethbridge, High River, Wildwood, Poplar Forest and Asker Districts. She was predeceased by her sisters Edith Taylor, Sarah Rook, Edna Perry, Eunice Chelstad and her son Arnold Jones, as well as Fenn Robinson for whom she worked for many years. Hattie is lovingly survived by her son Ron Robinson; daughter-in-law Marie Jones; grandsons Kevin Jones, Danny Jones (Deidre) and Brian Jones (Juliet); great-granddaughters Julian-Marie and Angeline; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Ponoka Funeral Home with Reverend David Panton and Reverend Allan Perry presiding. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society or the Northcott Care Center, Ponoka.
