On December 20, 2008 Mrs. Helen Bernice Holt of Ponoka passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Arthur “Art” of Ponoka; children Vicki Holt (Ian Ogilvie) of Digby, Nova Scotia, Darrell Holt (Margaret) of Edmonton and Duane Holt of Beaumont; grandchildren Chantel (Danny), Matthew, Austin, Tristan, Cole and Devon; great-grandson James; sisters Anna Collin (Harry) and Edna Radtke (Denis); sisters-in-law Mary Schultz (Harold) and Arleen Pooley (Erwin); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Hans and Beda Halsiede. A Funeral Service to celebrate Helen’s life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27th at the Ponoka Funeral Home with the Interment Service following at the Erskine Cemetery.
